December 15th, 2009 lindahuang No comments

The TV series Gossip Girl is based around the set of books by the same name. The show revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York’s Upper East Side. They attend elite academic institutions while dealing with sex, drugs, and your basic fun, dramatic, dangerous teenage issues.

Gossip Girl Spoilers – What We Will See in 2010?

Chuck. When we last saw him, it looked like Chuck had found his long-dead mother. Well, he thought she was dead.  A promo for the new episodes in 2010 show that Chuck will try to figure out whether the woman he saw is the old Mrs. Bass.

E!Online’s Kristen, meanwhile, has some information about what’s in store for Jenny. Somehow, in between her scheming, she’s going to find time to come between another Gossip Girl couple. Who?  Chuck and Blair, perhaps? Nope. Serena and Nate, actually. No details yet on how or why Jenny manages to come between them. Could she be jealous of their relationship? Will she just try to get Nate to up her status?

In some more Jenny-related news, Kristen reveals that Agnes Andrews (played by Willa Holland) will reappear on the show. You”ll recall that she was Jenny’s crazy model friend. Will she egg Jenny on in coming between Nate and Serena? Whatever the reason for her return, you just know she’ll cause trouble.

E! Online also reveals that we should expect to see Serena’s father before the end of the season. The show is currently casting his character.

The usually curly-haired country cutie showed off bangs and straight locks reminiscent of the “Gossip Girl” star’s edgy look on Wednesday night.

The singer, out to dinner in NYC with “Zombieland” star Emma Stone, rocked her new look after an all-day photo shoot, according to her Twitter.

“Then we wandered around a candy store like wide-eyed little kids,” she Tweeted.

Taylor also Tweeted fondly recently about her guest-spot on “CSI” earlier this year – so maybe a “Gossip Girl” guest-spot isn’t out of the question?

What Do You Think of The “Dexter” Season Four Finale

Dexter Season Four Finale

The show is based on characters created by Jeff Lindsay for his series of Dexter novels. It was adapted for television by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter James Manos, Jr., who wrote the pilot episode.

On October 21, 2008, Showtime renewed the series for a fourth and fifth season, each consisting of twelve episodes. Season 4 aired its season finale on December 13, 2009 to a record-breaking audience of 2.6 million viewers, making it the most-watched original series episode ever on Showtime.

First of all, regardless of how shocking the Dexter Season 4 finale was (and it was very shocking indeed), it was in the next to last episode that Dexter embedded itself in television history.  I think John Lithgow uttering the words “Hello, Dexter Morgan” will live on the top ten of great television moments for all time.

Dexter returning home from dispatching the vile Trinity killer to find his wife dead, a very close second. A serial killer affirming his sense of humanity, only to have that slashed away – chilling.

EmilPerhaps the strangest moment for me came in the minutes following the finale.  Showtime aired part of the clip I’ll present below, of Dexter Season 4 stars Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow discussing the season.  It’s great stuff, and I don’t want to diminish it at all… but what the heck is up with Michael C. Hall’s new look?  All I could think of was the toxic waste guy from Robocop.  Could Michael C. Hall be taking on that role in Darren Aronofsky’s remake?

Despite the drastic change of appearance, Hall’s reflecting is can’t-miss-stuff for Dexter fans.  While we are sure we won’t see John Lithgow again – outside of a flashback – we will see Hall’s Dexter, and the actor puts the cap on all of the issues complicating a season 5 Dexter’s inner and outer life.
