58% 0ff on Two and A Half Men DVD

I’m a big fan of comedy, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, 30 ROCK and MODERN FAMILY are all my favorite shows. Now I try Two and A Half Men, interestingly. There are no words to describe how much I love this show. I’m waiting to have Season Six sent to me from the U.S. and I can’t wait. I’ve got such a bad case of “Men” fever that at times I have watched the same episode three times in a row!

I like Two and A Half Men, Which I think speaks volumes for the quality of the show. I wonder how the show will change as Jake matures. Alan’s comedic timing is amazing and Charlie is hysterical. Not to be forgotten, Jake, who holds his own very well against the two other actors. Anyone with a sense of humor, go out and see this as soon as possible! I don’t know a single person who watches the show and I pretty much decided to give it a shot despite the whole sitcom thing. Not as much as 30 ROCK and PARTY DOWN and THE OFFICE and definitely not MODERN FAMILY (which might be the best new comedy since ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT), but it was still quite good, with an enormously likable small group of characters.

How I Met Your Mother – Girls vs Suits

January 13th, 2010 lindahuang No comments

I’m gonna stop you right there. It’s the suits. Come on, Lily, get your head out of your ass. It had a song-and-dance number that was fun. There was no time-shifting, and not a lot of misdirection. It just told two straight-ahead stories that were really funny and gave us confidence in how things are going to play out going forward. Everything we know about the mother is awesome – almost too awesome. I guess only time and ratings will tell.

Josh Radnor and Rachel Bilson in How I Met Your Mother: Girls vs. SuitsLet’s start with Ted. At the end of this episode, we’re as close to the mythical Mother as we’ve ever gotten. And it we got there in quite an interesting way: he dates a woman who’s jealous of her “perfect” roommate. Rachel Bilson did a nice job of playing Cindy, making her vulnerable because of this problem, but not crazy. And it seemed at the start that Cindy could be the mother, when Ted had confiscated beers with her in his classroom, but I’m happy that the magical roommate was brought up right away.

The “Girls vs. Suits” musical number was played well. It didn’t dominate the episode; it just played out in Barney’s head as he had to figure out whether to bed the bartender or keep the suits. It was a tour-de-force for Neil Patrick Harris, as he reached notes I never thought he could. And it was fun to see the gang dancing around in suits, with the guys surprisingly moving very easily in theirs and the girls looking like they’re wearing oversized duds that would make David Byrne jealous.

How I Met Your Mother Season 5

The hit CBS show HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was broadcasted 100th episode on January 11. This episode in particular took care to lay subtle groundwork for the musical number, preventing it from appearing to come out of nowhere. Barney’s secret moment with the suit he hides in the bathroom feels like the start of a musical number; the suit has a kind of siren call that manifests itself musically. In How I Met Your Mother Season 5, a new exciting twists as Robin and Barney officially hook up while Ted lands a new architectural job at a university and gets closer to meeting “the mother.” We’re already heading towards the middle of the season but there are still some pretty juicy spoilers lurking around the internet and you can learn more about it after the jump.

“What your favorite part of the video? “I’m gonna stop you right there. It’s the suits. Come on, Lily, get your head out of your ass.” Oh, and I loved the fact that Barney pulled a Barney and whispered to the suits at the end, “You guys are fine.” Guess we won’t see Stacy Keibler back anytime soon. But boy! We’re we nervous for nothing! “Girls vs. Suits” brought us one step closer to finding out about the mysterious “mother” of Ted’s future children. It was nice of the writers not to keep us on our toes for more than just a brief moment about whether or not Cindy is the mother. We have to admit, we did hold our breath for a moment when they showed the same yellow bus sitting in the bookcase of the future.
