30 rock season 4

30 Rock has been released season 1-4, up to this time. Now, this show has gotten better again. While Season 1 was absolutely great, the novelty slightly wore off during Season two where some of the situations were simply not that funny. It still stars the stellar cast of Tina Fey as Liz Lemon and Alec Baldwin as Jack Donaghy, her boss at NBC.

I’m mad as a comedy, 30 rock season 4 can appreciate one time. While the writing is extremely clever and these two actors are plendid, some of the secondary cast members are slightly over-the-top and do distract such as Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski. Well anyway as I wrote the comedy is better than in Season two even if as usual it is slightly over-aware of its “impact”. Indeed, as most SNL-derived comedy, it tends to be somewhat superior in its approach and over-smug. However this show can afford it due to its brilliant acting and writing. Sometimes the humour is of the flat “I am great” SNL style but not too often. The show could use a more relaxed kind of comedy sometines but overall it is a joy to wtach and it does deserve all the praise it gets.

Lost’s Season 6 Premier

It told us the latest news of lost premiere, lost will avoid the collision with State of the Union! Mark posted earlier this week about the possibility of Lost’s Season 6 premiere being bumped from February 2 because of President Obama’s State of the Union address.  Well, Dharma’s tentacles clearly stretch to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, because according to Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse’s Twitter feeds, the premiere will air as scheduled on Tuesday, February 2nd.

Is really great news for lost fans, they can enjoy the premiere on Tuesday, February 2nd.

True Blood The Complete Set

True Blood The Complete Set

How can anyone not love a vampire series that is crazy and racey! The current obsession with all things vampiric found its most potent outlet in HBO’s banner series: expertly mixing tongue-in-cheek satire, soap opera theatrics and flat-out horror into one irresistible package. I could fill an entire column by listing all of the great things about this show, but the high point has to be Michelle Forbes’ maenad Maryann–possibly the scariest character yet seen on television.

If you like vampire series, this show is your best chioce. Very good acting, story and one of the best vampire tv shows out there. Once you start you hate to stop watching.

Scrubs Season Nine

This is an excellent show and it never gets old. It has often felt to me that Scrubs was the last great thing on TV. Funny, endearing, and able to get to your heart, Scrubs is one of the best sitcoms in the history of television. Scrubs premiered on October 2, 2001 on NBC. During the seventh season, NBC announced that it would not renew the show. Shortly after the seventh season finale, ABC announced that it had bought the rights to the show and on January 6, 2009, the eighth season of Scrubs premiered on ABC. The eighth season finale aired on May 6, 2009. The ninth season, which premiered on December 1, 2009 on ABC, features several new cast members and takes place at a new location.

I’m looking forward to the season 9 of Scrubs on dvd.

Battlestar Galactica Will Bring to The Big Screen

January 8th, 2010 lindahuang No comments

No one will Denied the effect of Battlestar Galactica, the last few episodes of the groundbreaking series stand as a genre high point for the last decade, marked most notably by Adama (Edward James Olmos) capping a man in the head during the aborted coup on the Galactica. In. The. Head.

The show, as covered quite extensively, is a phenomenal drama that truly touches on humanity’s reaction to virtual extermination in a sci-fi setting. I highly recommend the TV show.  Creator Glen A. Larson is in talks with Universal Pictures to bring Battlestar Galactica to the big screen. The film will not be based on the Sci-Fi Channel series of the same title; it will be based on the original series which starred Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict and the late Lorne Greene. Bryan Singer is to direct the feature film version of Battlestar Galactica.
